FAQ

  • Where can I find you in person?
You can shop our curated vintage collection at special events, select pop-ups around the city, and by appointment at our studio on Powell Street. Follow us on Instagram @san.franciscovintage for the latest updates on where we’ll pop up next.
  • Do you offer local pickup and delivery?
Yes! We offer free local pickup from our San Francisco location — just select "Local Pickup" at checkout. Pickup is available during pop-up hours or by appointment. Local delivery can be scheduled by Lugg or TaskRabbit for larger items.
  • Can I return something if it doesn’t work out?
All vintage items are final sale due to their one-of-a-kind nature. We do our best to photograph and describe each item clearly — if you have any questions before purchasing, feel free to reach out. We're happy to help!
  • Do you offer shipping?
Yes! We offer domestic shipping on most items unless otherwise noted. Due to the fragile and unique nature of some vintage pieces, we may quote custom shipping separately. DM us or email with the item name for a quote.
  • Are your items cleaned or restored before sale?
Yes. Every item we sell is carefully cleaned, inspected, and — if needed — lightly restored while preserving its vintage character. We believe in honoring each piece’s story while making it beautiful and functional for modern living. Items not fully restored are marked in the description as such.
  • Can you help us set up an estate sale?
Absolutely. We offer hands-on estate sale setup services tailored for families, downsizers, and collectors looking to find new homes for cherished items. From staging and pricing to promotion and day-of staffing, we handle the details so you don’t have to. We specialize in vintage, collectibles, and unique home goods — and can even coordinate online listings for specialty pieces to maximize your return. If you're local to the San Francisco Bay Area and need help, get in touch and we’ll set up a free consultation to talk through next steps.
  • What types of items do you look for in estate clear outs?
We're especially interested in mid-century furniture, art deco, hollywood regency, vintage lighting, unique home decor, old signage, ephemera, and oddities with character. If it has a story and soul, we want to see it! We don’t typically handle modern mass-produced furniture and very selective on clothing only collections.
  • Do you offer consignment?
We take a limited number of consignment pieces based on quality, uniqueness, and condition. If you have vintage home decor, furniture, or collectibles you'd like to consign, send us an email with photos and a brief description — we’ll be in touch if it’s a fit.
  • How can I become a vendor at one of your events?
We love showcasing local vintage dealers, artists, and makers at our curated markets and pop-ups. Applications open ahead of each event and are announced via our Instagram and email newsletter. Be sure to follow along so you don’t miss your chance to join the next one!
  • Can I rent a space to sell my own vintage collection?
Since we are an appointment only showroom we don't have this as an option. If you’re a vintage seller looking to dip your toes into retail, email us with your info and inventory style to be considered for future events.
  • Do you ship outside of San Francisco?
Yes! We ship nationwide. Small items will be packed with care and sent via USPS or UPS. For large furniture or fragile pieces, please contact us before purchasing to coordinate delivery or get a shipping quote.
  • Is everything on your Instagram available online?
Not always. Our inventory moves fast — especially when posted to stories! If you see something you love, DM us right away to claim it. Only a curated selection is listed online, so follow us for first dibs on new finds.
  • Do you offer workshops or DIY classes?
Yes! We host sustainability-focused DIY and upcycling classes designed to inspire creativity and keep vintage alive in new ways. From furniture revamps to home decor hacks, our workshops are fun, community-driven, and beginner-friendly. Check our Events page for upcoming dates.
